Denver Apartment Fire

On January 29th, 2021 at 21:28 Denver Fire Department received multiple calls for a multi family structure fire in the 3400 block of S Lowell Blvd. at the Loretto Heights Apartment Complex. Callers reported parties possibly trapped inside the unit. Engine 25 arrived to two units fully engulfed, plugging water supply from the complex. Chief 7 arrived and in command, Engine 25 performed fire attack with Engine 28 assisting. Tower 23 performed a primary search and one victim was removed with unknown injuries, and command requested an additional ambulance to the scene. Secondary search was completed and negative by Truck 28. Engine 37 was assigned as RIT. Fire was knocked and power to the affected units were shut off. The American Red Cross was requested for assistance. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
