Swift Water Rescue Training

On May 1, 2021, the Denver Fire Department Water Rescue Team conducted swift water rescue training at Confluence Park. Firefighters practiced on land with their ropes and rapid deployment craft then took to the water to practice swift water rescue techniques. The team spends many hours each year training to respond to a number of aquatic emergencies including swift water rescue, ice rescue and underwater rescue/recovery.
