Denver Structure Fire

At 04:20 on March 23rd, 2021 Denver Fire Department received multiple reports of a fire at a multi family structure in the 4500 block of Bingham St. in Westwood. Engine 23 arrived and laid in a supply line on Custer Pl. and Utica St. and Tower 23 reported heavy smoke showing from the back of the structure. Chief 6 arrived on scene and took command of the incident. Engine 20 laid supply off the tank while Engine 25 plugged supply from Custer Pl. and Wolff St. Tower 23 reported the heavy smoke and heat from the basement in an A/C unit. Primary and secondary searches were negative and the fire was quickly contained and controlled and the cause is under investigation. No injuries were reported and the American Red Cross was notified for displaced occupants.
