1st Annual Gummball Drop

The South Adams County Fire Department assisted the Deputy Heath Gumm Foundation with the 1st Annual Gummball Drop at the Riverdale Regional Park on April 24th, 2021. Firefighters dropped over 200 golf balls from the top of Truck 24 to help raise funds for the Foundation. The Foundation was founded in 2020 to honor fallen Adams County Sheriff Deputy Heath Gumm and support law enforcement, first responders and other non-profit groups. Deputy Gumm was shot and killed during a foot pursuit near 88th Ave. and Dawson St. in Thornton on January 24th, 2018.
