Lockheed Martin Grass Fire

On October 10th, 2021 at approximately 13:00 South Metro Fire Rescue and West Metro Fire Rescue were dispatched to a vegetation fire at Lockheed Martin, 12257 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Smoke could be seen from I-25 and C-470. Firefighters arrived on scene and found a two-acre grass fire on a hillside east of a shooting range on the property. Crews were on scene about ninety minutes dousing the flames and mopping up hot spots. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
