
Parker Tack Drive Structure Fire
South Metro House Fire
At 04:57 on February 2nd, 2021 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a house fire in the 12000 block of Tack Dr. in Parker. A person driving by called 911 to report grey smoke in the area while traveling on Motsenbocker Rd. Parker Police Department responded as well and confirmed active fire on the backside of a house on Tack Dr. Firefighters from Tower 45 and Engine 46 arrived on scene and began pulling hose lines around the side of the home and to the back of the structure for fire suppression. The fire damaged the back deck, broke a window and had begun extending towards the attic space. Crews checked for extension in the attic, but luckily they caught the fire in time before it grew any further inside. All residents evacuated out of the house safely and no injuries occurred. SMFR Fire Investigators found the cause of the fire to be accidental due to smoking materials being placed in combustible soil. South Metro asks community members to please dispose of flammable materials in a safe way, especially in and around your homes in order to keep you and your family protected from a fire starting.
