Adams County Detached Garage Fire

At 07:57 on February 2nd, 2022 AdCom 911 dispatched South Adams Fire Department and Brighton Fire Rescue District for a reported structure fire in the 21000 Block of E. 112th Ave. in unincorporated Adams County outside of Reunion. At 07:59 Truck 28 advised Adcom of a smoke header from 104th and Tower Rd. A 911 caller reported a barn fully involved with vehicles possibly inside with a second caller reporting the fire moving west. Truck 28 and Engine 53 arrived to a detached garage fully involved and established 112th Command in the Defensive mode. Truck 28 made direct access to the rear of the property and pulled a 1 3/4 line for attack until a water supply could be established. Engine 53 stretched a 2 1/2 supply line from their engine to Truck 28 and set up a water shuttle operation on 112th. 360 walk-around revealed a Charlie Side Exposure with trailers threatened. Battalion 51 arrived and assumed 112th Command, continued in the defensive mode and requested a Major Incident Tone for a working fire. At 08:15 Truck 28 reported the main body of fire under control in the building of origin and Battalion 51 reported water on the fire. With water on the fire, Battalion 51 picked up Battalion 21 with scene stable. Engine 54 stretched a line from the east entrance of the property to assist with fire attack and overhaul. Engine 51 started a relay pumping operation to Engine 54 on the east side with Tender 55 as the nurse tender. At 08:28 112th Command requested an additional engine company non-emergent to assist with overhaul and keep crews cycling through.
