Residential Structure Fire

On March 4th, 2022 at 12:29 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 19300 block of E. Batavia Dr. Engine 12 reported a large plume of black smoke in the air while responding to the call. Crews arrived on scene and found heavy fire on the west side of a single family residence and that the fire spread to the east side of the neighboring home. Firefighters spent about thirty minutes extinguishing the fire and another hour checking for extension, conducting overhaul and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
