Aurora Commercial Fire

On November 17th, 2022 at approximately 00:05 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at 9 Mile Liquor, 5050 S. Peoria St. Engine 7 arrived on scene and observed heavy smoke coming from the roof. Firefighters extended two aerial ladders and found fire in the decking on the roof. Crews were on scene about an hour extinguishing the fire, conducting overhaul and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
