On August 4th, 2022 around 20:00 Boulder Police & Fire Communications (9100) dispatched Boulder Fire-Rescue Department to a residential structure fire in the 1000 block of 5th St. in unincorporated Boulder County. Engine 2502 arrived to a two-story fully involved structure and pulled 1 3/4 for fire attack to the Charlie side and Engine 2501 secured the water supply. Tower 2516 arrived and stared the primary search and utilities. Battalion Chief 2570 assumed command in the offensive strategy and assigned Engine 2504 as RIT. Crews worked on an extensive overhaul and investigation. All the occupants were able to evacuate the residence to safety. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
