Estes Park Structure Fire

At 09:24 on January 2nd, 2022 Estes Park Emergency Communications Center (700) dispatched Estes Valley Fire Protection District with mutual-aid from Loveland Fire Rescue Authority to a reported commercial structure fire at 1210 Acacia Dr. in Estes Park. Engine 71 arrived to a working fire, secured their own water supply from the Sigelock Spartan Hydrant, and stretched 75′ in from the Alpha side for fire attack. Battalion Chief 71 arrived and assumed command, with fire from the kitchen area. Ladder 71 horizontally vented the Charlie window, which included K12 out metal reinforcements. Engine 72 arrived and pulled a backup attack line in. The fire was put under control and the mutual-aid response was cancelled. The cause of the fire was determined to be a overloaded power strip.  and no injuries were reported. Additional information provided by Estes Valley Fire Protection District.
