
Douglas County North Delbert Road House Fire
Douglas County Structure Fire
On January 1st, 2022 at 09:17 South Metro Fire Rescue, Elizabeth Fire Protection District, and Rattlesnake Fire Protection District responded to a residential structure fire in the 10300 block of N. Delbert Rd. in unincorporated Douglas County. Engine 273 arrived to a medium single-story home fully involved and started a defensive fire attack. Battalion Chief 4 arrived and assumed command. Crews were able to quickly control the fire. Multiple water tenders were dispatched to shuttle water into the non-hydranted area. Due to the extent of the damage, crews had to conduct heavy overhaul while combating freezing temperatures. No injuries were reported and fire investigators are looking into the cause.
