2nd Alarm Apartment Fire

At 15:26 on August 24th, 2022 Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) dispatched Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and Berthoud Fire Protection District to a possible structure fire in the 500 block of East 11th St. in Fort Collins. Crews arrived to a two-story multi-family structure with fire from a shed spreading to the main structure. Engine 46 pulled a line in for fire attack and Tower 46 started search. Battalion 41 arrived and assumed command and requested to strike a 2nd alarm at 15:34. Rescue 42 arrived and assigned with search and Chief 41 advised of fire involvement in the attic. All occupants of the apartments were accounted for and none were injured. One apartment sustained heavy fire damage and the second sustained smoke damage. An out-building was completely destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Front Range Fire Rescue, Windsor Severance Fire Rescue and Poudre Fire Authority assisted with coverage at the LFRA stations during the incident. Additional information provided by Loveland Fire Rescue Authority
