Strasburg Structure Fire

On September 7th, 2022 at 13:08 Strasburg Fire Protection District was dispatched along with the I-70 Corridor to a reported structure fire in Strasburg. An Adams County Sheriff’s Deputy was first on-scene and reported a fully involved rear deck on a 2-story residential structure with evacuation not completed. Medic 72 was first on scene and confirmed evacuation. Chief 91 assumed command with Engine 81 initiating fire attack with Byers and Bennett-Watkins personnel. The fire was quickly controlled and additional mutual-aid units were cancelled. There was only minor damage to the house with no extension to the interior. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental due to improper disposal of smoking materials. Additional information provided by Strasburg Fire Protection District
