Arvada Blanca Street Structure Fire
Working Structure Fire

On April 25th, 2023 at 15:38 Jeffcom dispatched Arvada Fire Protection District and Fairmount Fire Protection District responded to a working structure fire in the 9200 block of Blanca St. in Candelas after the homeowner called 911 reporting the smell of smoke after their home had been hit by lighting. Engine 59 arrived on scene to a small two-story single-family with a working fire from the attic and roof and pulled a line in for fire attack and secured their own water supply. Tower 57 arrived and went to the roof and Medic 57 as medical. Battalion 52 arrived and took command on the Alpha side in the offensive strategy. The fire was quickly put under control around 15:50 and crews worked diligently to conduct overhaul while checking the roof and void spaces to ensure no hot spots or heat remained. All occupants had evacuated and no one was injured. The cause is under investigation and no residents were displaced as a result of the fire.
