Arvada Structure Fire

On December 14th, 2023 at 00:45 Arvada Fire Protection District and West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in the 6000 block of Owens St. Jeffcom advised that Arvada Police officers on scene reporting active fire from the 2nd floor and all parties were out of the structure. Battalion 52 arrived in command to a confirmed working fire with flames from the 2nd story window of a two-story residence. Engine 56 arrived and pulled a line in for interior fire attack with Medic 56 in the offensive strategy and Rescue 52 assisted with the water supply to Engine 56. Engine 51 pulled a 2nd line to the first floor for the primary search. The fire was quickly placed under control and crews started the overhaul. The cause was determined by Arvada fire investigator that an internal failure within an electrical receptacle caused the fire. No injures were reported. American Red Cross was was dispatched to provide resources to the individuals affected by the fire. Additional information provided by Arvada Fire Protection District
