Aurora 2nd Alarm Structure Fire

On July 3rd, 2023 at approximately 22:00 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 17325 E. Rice Circle. Engine 10 arrived on scene and found heavy fire coming from the roof of a multi-story, multi-family dwelling. Crews were on scene about tow hours battling the blaze and checking for extension. A firefighter was taken to a local hospital with a leg injury and at least one police officer was treated for smoke inhalation. Several units sustained heavy damage and t]he cause of the fire is under investigation.
