Aurora Third Alarm Fire

On December 13th, 2023 at approximately 23:55 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 7399 S. Addison Court. Aurora911 advised that multiple callers reported the fire at a construction site near the Saddle Rock Target. Smoke and flames could be seen from miles away. Crews arrived on scene and found heavy fire in a multifamily residential structure that was still under construction. Additional alarms were struck as the fire spread to multiple units in the complex and into a nearby field. Limited access, the cold weather and propane tanks hindered suppression efforts. Firefighters were still on scene ten hours later mopping up. Five buildings were destroyed and no injuries were reported. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) was called to the scene to assist with the investigation as well as the Multi-Agency Fire Investigations Team.
