Aurora Structure Fire

On April 17th, 2023 at approximately 15:35 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 1852 S. Nome Court. Rescue 4 arrived on scene and found smoke coming from a vent on the back side of a single family residence. A contractor had been working on pipes when a fire broke out inside a wall. The contractor was attempting to extinguish the fire with a garden hose when firefighters arrived. Crews were one scene about thirty minutes extinguishing the fire, checking for extension and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported.
