Commerce City Dahlia Street 2nd Alarm Commercial Fire
South Adams County 2nd Alarm Fire
On October 26th, 2023 at 05:50 South Adams County Fire Department and Adams County Fire Rescue responded for a commercial structure fire in the 7500 block of Dahlia St. in Commerce City. AdCom reported 911 callers saying that flames through the roof about 15 feet tall. Engine 23 arrived on scene to a large commercial structure with a working fire and secured their own water supply with the 5 inch across Dahlia St. and started defensive operations. Engine 22 arrived and assisted with the water supply. Crews worked multiple buildings on fire and a 2nd alarm was requested. Battalion 21 arrived and assumed command and assigned Tower 24 to set-up for defensive aerial master stream operations. Firefighters were on scene for several hours, extinguishing the fire and hitting hot spots. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
