Vehicle Into House

On May 15th, 2023 at 16:11 West Metro Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue responded to vehicle into a house in the 9000 block of W. Coco Dr. Engine 13 arrived on scene to one vehicle into a home and severing a gas line and requested a Xcel to the scene and Rescue 10 pulled a 1 3/4 into the scene. Battalion Chief 1 arrived and assumed command and South Metro Medic 13 assigned as medical. Command requested additional engine to the scene and Engine 13 pulled a 2nd line in. Approximately 15 homes in the area were be evacuated and the Falcon Bluffs Middle School was the evacuation center for the residents. Jefferson County Sheriff reported the driver crashed into the residence while fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The driver of the vehicle was put into custody. No injuries were associated with the vehicle running into the home. Crews with Xcel were able to cap the gas-line and firefighters with West Metro’s technical rescue team shored up the damaged structure. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
