Northglenn Cherokee Street Storage Unit Fire

At 06:50 on October 24th, 2023 North Metro Fire Rescue District with Federal Heights Fire Department, Westminster Fire Department and Thornton Fire Department responded to a storage facility on fire on Cherokee St. near W. 114th Ave. in Northglenn. Crews arrived to a working fire from multiple storage units with heavy smoke and flames showing. Crews worked to extinguish the primary fire and then addressed additional smoldering fires within the storage units. The majority of damage from smoke and fire was contained to approximately 12 storage units, but other units could have some smoke damage due to the attic space that ran down the entire building. No injuries resulted from the fire and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by North Metro Fire Rescue District
