South Metro Skid Steer Fire

On April 18th, 2023 at approximately 17:40 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a possible residential structure fire at 5419 S. Waco Court. Engine 22 arrived on scene within minutes and found a Caterpillar 256C Skid Steer Loader heavily engulfed in fire. The fire from the loader, which was parked extremely close to the garage, was threatening the structure. Engine 23 began fire attack with a hand line while Engine 23 secured a water supply. Crews were on scene about thirty minutes extinguishing the fire and checking for extension to the residence. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
