West Metro Structure Fire

At 21:40 on August 2nd, 2023 Jeffcom 911 dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue and Arvada Fire Protection District to a reported structure fire in the 3800 block of Balsam St. in Wheat Ridge. Engine 16 arrived to a small single-story residential with fire from the bushes next to a home and spreading to the eves, pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire control with Medic 16. Engine 17 started the primary search and Tower 2 checked for extension into the attic space. The fire was put under control quickly and the rest of the response was cancelled.
