Defensive Structure Fire

On January 12th, 2023 at 16:18 Westminster Fire Department with North Metro Fire Rescue DistrictArvada Fire Protection District and Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 7300 block of W. 92nd Ave. Engine 5 arrived to a working structure fire from an abandoned single-story structure, pulled a 2 1/2 line and started the water supply and deployed their duck gun for fire control. Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha side in the defensive strategy with heavy fire from the roof. Engine 3 arrived and assigned to assist with the water supply. Engine 6 pull a 2nd line off Engine 5 for fire control, Truck 2 started master stream operations and Medic 4 as medical. W. 92nd Ave. was shut down during fire operations. The fire was put under control at 16:43 and crews started an extended overhaul and investigation. No injures were reported and the cause is under investigation.
