Adams County Structure Fire
On January 26th, 2024 at 07:01 Adams County Fire Rescue, Thornton Fire Department, North Metro Fire Rescue District and Federal Heights Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire in the 8000 block of Faraday St. in Welby. Adcom911 advised of multiple callers reporting a house on fire with possible trapped parties. Engine 14 arrived to a small single-story structure with a working fire from the Alpha side and pulled an attack line in for rescue mode with Medic 14. Engine 72 established the water supply to Engine 14 and then assisted with the rescue and fire attack. Battalion 72 arrived and assumed command, requested a major incident tone and 2 additional medics to the scene. Crews pulled a victim to the Charlie side with CPR in progress, and transported emergent to a local hospital by Medic 71. Engine 71 started the primary search and Engine 11 with the utilities. Truck 62 arrived and assigned to check the roof and attic apace and Medic 41 as medical. No extension was found in the attic space. The fire was put under control and crews started overhaul. A 2nd patient was transported by Medic 62 to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. The cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by Adams County Fire Rescue
