Aurora Hazmat Response

On August 4th, 2024 Aurora Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue were dispatched to a hazardous materials incident at the Acadia at Cornerstar Apartments, 16052 E. Davies Drive. Units arrived on scene to find a chemical incident in one of the apartment. Officials believe the apartment may have been being used to make narcotics. Firefighters were on the scene about two hours neutralizing the chemicals and ventilating the building. A private company was brought in to complete the clean up. No injuries were reported and the incident is under investigation.
