Aurora Damaged Gas Leak

At approximately 16:55 on September 13th, 2024 Aurora 911 dispatched Aurora Fire Rescue to a reported gas leak on E. Hampden Ave. at the intersection with S. Nucla St. A work crew struck a gas line under the road. Firefighters evacuated several nearby homes as a precautionary measure and were on scene about 90 minutes until Xcel was able to shut off the gas. No injuries were reported.
