Aurora Water Rescue

On October 18th, 2024 at approximately 13:20 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported water rescue at 18150 E. Vassar Place. Crews arrive on scene and found a black Volkswagen Tiguan submerged in a retention pond along West Toll Gate Creek Aurora Central Recreation Center. The Dive Rescue Team from South Metro Fire Rescue was called to the scene to assist. Divers searched the area and did not find any people in the vehicle or surrounding area. Law enforcement officials on scene advised the vehicle may have been stolen. Aurora Police are investigating.
