Aurora Residential Structure Fire
On September 17th, 2024 at approximately 17:25 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 3952 S. Fundy Circle. Engine 10 arrived on scene and observed smoking coming from the eaves of a two-story, single-family residential structure. Crews were able to quickly extinguish a kitchen fire and remained on scene about forty minutes checking for extension, mopping up and ventilating the building. Firefighters were able to rescue a cat from the residence, however a dog died. The fire is believed to be an accidental kitchen fire. American Red Cross was requested to assist the three occupants that were displaced.
