South Metro Structure Fire

On January 13th, 2024 at approximately 23:15 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 522 S. Richfield St. in Centennial. Engine 22 arrived on scene and observed smoke showing and found a working basement fire. Crews were on scene in -7 degree weather for over an hour extinguishing the fire, checking for hot spots and mopping up. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
