Denver Structure Fire

On May 18th, 2024 Denver 911 Communications Center dispatched Denver Fire Department to a residential structure fire on W. Ohio Ave. and S. Jay Court in Westwood. Upon arrival fire crews encountered fire and heavy smoke from a one-story single-family residence. Firefighters were able to quickly contained the fire to the original room. One patient was evaluated by Denver Paramedics on scene and two dogs were rescued with 8 puppies. No other injuries were reported. American Red Cross was contacted to assist with all displaced occupants of the home. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department
