On April 6th, 2024 at 07:59 Jeffcom dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue and Arvada Fire Protection District to a possible structure fire in the 2500 block of Fenton St. in Edgewater. Engine 1 arrived to a working fire with smoke showing from a single-story single-family structure and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack with Medic 1. Engine 16 arrived and secured the water supply from W. 26th Ave. to Engine 1. Crews found the fire on the Charlie side and District 1 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy. The fire was caused by an electric line, that was pulled down by a large fallen tree limb in the back yard. The fire burned the back side of the home and extended into the interior, causing smoke and heat damage to the area where the power feed enters the structure. No injuries were reported.
