Erie Matthews Circle Garage Fire
Boulder County Garage Fire

On May 12th, 2024 just after 21:20 Boulder County Communications (1800) dispatched Mountain View Fire Rescue and Lafayette Fire Department to a possible structure fire on Matthews Circle in Erie. Engine 2601 arrived in scene and confirmed a working fire with smoke coming out of the garage and filled the box. Crews were able to get the fire out quickly and conduct a search of the rest of the structure which was found to be all clear, and the fire was contained to the garage. Fire investigator determined the cause to be electrical.
