South Metro Cement Truck MVA

On February 2nd, 2024 at approximately 11:45 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a rollover accident at 11327 Cottontail Lane in Douglas County. Engine 41 arrived on scene, observed that a cement truck rolled into a small ravine and found that the driver was stuck inside. Crews were on scene over ninety minutes stabilizing the vehicle and extricating the driver who was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation. Two heavy wreckers were called to the scene to help remove the vehicle. Officials believe, the driver who was attempting to make a delivery, turned into the wrong driveway and was attempting to back out when the vehicle ran off the edge of the driveway and rolled into the ravine. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
