West Metro Attic Fire

At 07:10 on May 25th, 2024 Jeffcom 911 dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue and Arvada Fire Protection District to a possible structure fire in the 4300 block of Benton St. in Mountain View. Engine 16 arrived on scene of a working fire from a small one-story with fire from the attic, pulled a line in for fire attack and the primary search with Medic 16. Engine 51 arrived and secured the water supply to Engine 16. District 1 assumed command and assigned Engine 1 to pulled a 2nd line in. Engine 51 finished the water supply and assisted with fire attack and Truck 54 started horizontal ventilation. Engine 17 assigned as RIT and Medic 11 as medical. The fire was put under control at 07:28 and crews started overhaul. No injuries and the cause is unknown at this time. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
