North Metro Structure Fire

On March 1st, 2024 at 13:06 North Metro Fire Rescue District with Thornton Fire Department, Westminster Fire Department and Federal Heights Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of W. 101st Place in Northglenn. Truck 62 arrived to a small two-story split-level home with a working fire with smoke and flames showing from the roof and attic space, pulled 1 3/4 to the Alpha side for primary search and fire control with Medic 62 with a major incident tone. Engine 72 arrived and pulled a 2nd line and assisted with fire attack. Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy and assigned Medic 72 with medical. Crews found a downed power line on the Charlie side of the home. The fire was put under control at 13:22. All residents were able to get out of the house safely, including their two dogs. Firefighters were able to rescue cats from the home. The family and their pets were displaced due to the fire and smoke damage. No injuries were reported.
