West Metro Structure Fire

On December 29th, 2024 at 16:48 West Metro Fire Rescue and Arvada Fire Protection District responded to the 3500 block of Kipling St. in Wheat Ridge for a possible structure fire. Jeffcom advised that 911 caller reporting smoke and flames coming from one of the bedrooms. Engine 17 arrived to small single-story single-family residential with evacuations and a working fire with smoke on the Alpha side. Engine 17 pulled 1 3/4 attack line with Medic 17 and Medic 16. Engine 52 set-up for the water supply which was not needed and District 1 arrived and assumed Kipling command on the Bravo side in the offensive strategy. The fire was put under control quickly and out at 16:58. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no reported injures. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
