South Adams Garage Fire

At 12:55 on June 9th, 2021 South Adams County Fire Department with Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a garage fire in the 7100 block of E. 75th Ave. in Commerce City. Adcom advised that they were receiving multiple calls with black smoke showing from a detached garage. Battalion 21 advised that smoke was showing from Station 24 and start a working fire tone. Battalion 21 arrived on scene and in command, with a single-story two-car garage with a working fire, and no extension into the house. Truck 24 arrived and grab the water supply, and Engine 22 pulled a 1 3/4 line off Truck 24 to the front of the garage for fire control. Command advised that now some extension into the residents, and assigned Engine 26 for a primary search of the home. Engine 13 arrived and assisted with fire attack. Crews were able to get fire under control at 13:11 and started salvage and overhaul and the investigation of the cause of the fire. The rest of the response was cancelled. No injuries were reported.
