South Adams Trapped Accident

At 04:45 on September 23rd, 2025 Adcom 911 dispatched South Adams County Fire Department and Platte Valley Ambulance Service responded to a semi tractor-trailer that drove off the I-270 bridge at E. 56th Ave. Engine 22 arrived to a tractor-trailer that went off the embankment of the I-270 bridge onto E. 56th Ave. with heavy damage and one trapped occupant and requested additional units to the scene. Battalion 21 arrived and assumed command and requested a major incident tone. The patient was safely extricated after an extended time and transported to a local hospital by Ambulance 22 with non-life threatening injuries. E. 56th Ave. was closed for several hours.
