Defensive Outbuilding Fire

On September 28th, 2025 around 17:10 Elizabeth Fire Rescue was dispatched to a possible outbuilding fire in the area of County Rd. 13 and County Rd. 166. Engine 273 arrived on scene to find a fully involved detached garage with the primary residence being threatened. Mutual-aid from Rattlesnake Fire Protection District and  South Metro Fire Rescue was requested for additional resources. Explosions could be heard coming from the garage and crews remained in the defensive strategy. Once water supplies were secured and multiple hand lines were pulled, crews were able to get the fire under control. Crews remained on scene to conduct overhaul and thankfully no injuries were reported.
