South Adams Commercial Fire

On November 15th, 2025 at 02:11 South Adams County Fire Department, Adams County Fire Rescue and Platte Valley Ambulance Service responded to a structure fire at 5400 Brighton Blvd. in Commerce City. Engine 23 arrived to single-story abandoned commercial structure with a working fire and pulled a 2 1/2 for fire attack in the defensive strategy with Rescue 23. Battalion 11 arrived in command and requested a major incident tone for South Adams County Fire. Crews worked heavy fire that spread to nearby power lines and a power pole in windy conditions. Tower 24 started master stream operations before the fire was put under control with crews working overhaul on hot spots. The fire was in an old unoccupied Texaco gas station.
