Golden Climber Rescue

On December 27th, 2025 around 13:50 Golden Fire Department and Stadium Medical responded to a report of a climber who had been injured near tunnel # 2 on Hwy 6 in Clear Creek Canyon. Units arrived on scene and made contact with the patient. Due to the technical nature of the rescue, mutual-aid from Arvada Fire Protection District was requested. The patient was lowered down and then attached to the bucket on Tower 21. Medic 21 transported the patient to a local hospital in serious condition.
