Golden Motor Vehicle Collision

On January 20th, 2026 at 14:22 Golden Fire Department and Stadium Medical was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 93 at N. Washington St. Tower 21 arrived to a two-vehicle head-on accident in the intersection with major damage and started in the investigation. Two adults and two children were evaluated at the scene and released. Both vehicles received heavy damage and required to be towed from the scene. All northbound Hwy. 93 traffic was diverted to eastbound Iowa Drive while southbound traffic was merged down to one lane and guided through the intersection. Both north and south bound traffic on Hwy. 93 encountered more than a mile backup in each direction. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
