On March 9th, 2026 at 19:39 West Metro Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a possible structure fire, located at 12395 Ken Caryl Circle. Jeffcom 911 advised 911 caller reporting white smoke from the garage of the building. Medic 13 arrived on scene to a three-story multi-family with a light haze. Truck 14 arrived and updated with light smoke from the garage and started the investigation with Engine 13. District 3 arrived and assumed command and assigned Medic 10 with medical. Engine 12 arrived and set-up for the water supply. All occupants and pets were evacuated from the building. Upon further investigation of the scene, it was determined that a resident possibly had been working on a vehicle and related oil from that vehicle was very hot and created large amounts of smoke with no active fire and the rest of the response was cancelled. No injuries were reported. No further investigations were required. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue.
