Aurora Brush Fire

Around 11:00 on June 19th, 2026 Aurora Fire Rescue and Denver Fire Department was dispatched to a reported outside grass fire threatening a structure in the 4000 block of S. Dallas St. with multiple 911 callers reporting a large grass fire. Engine 11 was first on scene and reported an active brush fire approximately the size of two basketball courts along medians. Crews found a couple of small spot fires in addition to the main body of fire and extinguished those. Brush 9 arrived on scene and helped to stop the forward progression of the fire. The incident was called under control about 30 minutes after crews arrived on scene. The total growth of the fire was calculated to be approximately 3 basketball courts. There were no injuries reported or found and no structures were damaged by the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by Aurora Fire Rescue
