On July 14th, 2026 at 12:08 Adams County Fire Rescue responded to grass fire at 6821 Santa Fe Drive just south of Twin Lakes. Engine 12 arrived to a grass fire burning in the Clear Creek Trail and Brush Truck 11 arrived and assumed command with no structures threatened burning in mixed fuels. The fire was contained at 12:25 and crews worked on an extended overhaul on hot spots in almost 100 degree temperatures. The fire burned 2/3 of an acre and the cause is under investigation.
