South Metro Commercial Fire

At 11:12 on August 3rd, 2026 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a smoke investigation at GeJo’s Italian Restaurant, 7200 E. Dry Creek Rd. in Centennial. While crews were responding, a 911 caller reported a fire in the wall behind a stove, and District 1 reclassified the response as a commercial structure fire. Medic 33 and Engine 15 arrived on scene and stretched a hose line into the structure for fire attack and overhaul. Once the fire was extinguished, crews began checking for extension in the surrounding area and confirmed that the fire hadn’t spread. Investigators from the SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the cause was accidental due to maintenance activities. Information provided by South metro Fire Rescue
