Station 15 Open House

On October 3rd, 2026 West Metro Fire Rescue held an open house at Station 15, located at 6220 N. Roxborough Drive in Roxborough Park. The community came out to tour the station, meet firefighters, ask questions and have their photos taken with some of the apparatus. Snacks and drinks were also supplied. Station 15 is the former Roxborough Park Fire Department Fire Station. The area is made up of mainly single-family residential, light commercial and a large area of wildland interface in Douglas County. The WMFR open houses also help to show how much the coasts are for the department from the turnout gear and SCBA to radios, helmets, tools, and all the other equipment they rely on every day including training, outfitting a single West Metro firefighter costs nearly $50,000. It’s one of the biggest behind-the-scenes investments they make-before a firefighter ever responds to a single call. Like everything else, the cost of this lifesaving equipment continues to rise. Making sure WMFR firefighters have the tools they need to protect you is becoming more expensive every year. Learn more about West Metro’s critical funding needs: West Metro Critical Funding Needs.
