Commercial Structure Fire

At 08:01 on August 16th, 2018 Castle Rock Fire Rescue responded to a commercial fire at 702 Prairie Hawk Dr. with 911 caller reporting a forklift on fire inside the building with a propane tank that may have exploded. Quint 151 arrived on scene to a one-story mega size structure with smoke showing on the Delta side, Engine 154 established a water supply. Medic 154 assisted Engine 154 with a 2 1/2 line in for fire attack, crews worked the fire from a forklift that was on fire next to high rack storage. Battalion 151 arrived and assumed command, and Quint 151 started roof ops. Engine 152 assigned RIT, and Quint 155 set-up ventilation. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, and due to the size of the building South Metro Fan 3 was requested for ventilation.
